I am an entrepreneur who has gained vast knowledge in business development, financial analysis, sales operations, and product management. I also possess vast knowledge of the Auto ID and digital printing industries. Although I started out as a system specialist at the bottom of a large organization, I have since started and managed 3 major successful businesses and am known as a leader in my industry and an expert in business development.I started my career in the equipment and systems group of Standard Register where I developed an interest in barcode identification and a passion for both hardware/software technologies. I was promoted several times based on outstanding sales and service performance. I held multiple positions enabling me to expand my business skills and gain valuable experience.In 1994, I was recruited by Brady Corporation to lead in the development of Teklynx® International, the industry’s largest provider of barcode label design software. I navigated through 3 international acquisitions gaining extensive M&A experience. I also broadened my global business development skills. In early 2002, I identified an opportunity to start my first company. Alongside with four other industry veterans, we launched Niceware International. For most of this venture, I was the President and Managing Partner of this rapidly growing, dynamic software distribution company.After successfully selling the software business, I co-founded my second company, Colordyne Technologies LLC, an innovative manufacturer of high-speed digital imaging solutions. Operating as President & Managing Partner, I oversee all operations, finances, and utilize my wide array of skills and business experiences to lead organization with my partner who focuses on sales and marketing. In 2018, I began an alternative career as an instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Leveraging my entrepreneurship background, I have taught several graduate and undergraduate classes. I enjoy jumpstarting new business ideas for students who look at the path of business startup as an exciting opportunity.At the end of 2023, I transitioned from the position as President of Colordyne Technologies to that of the Managing Partner. In this new capacity, I was able to allocate my time as a strategic advisor and business consultant to work with owners and business leaders. I am an accomplished pianist, have traveled the world as a part of my business endeavors, coached basketball over many years, and am an active philanthropist and sponsor of the arts.
