In this role I was responsible for the wide variety of systems that support Westpac Life (the Life Insurance subsidiary of Westpac), where I was responsible for three teams: frontend acquisition, back-office systems and claims. The scope of work included new development, enhancements and setting up a digital transformation roadmap. Towards the end of my tenure, I was heavily involved with the sale of Westpac Life to Fidelity Life.Key Achievements⦁ Led the development and launch of a major functional and user experience enhancement to the life insurance advice & quoting tool.⦁ Successfully delivered of a large multi-initiative programme of work to a March 2021 deadline for FSLAA compliance, involving the enhancement of an existing policy, withdrawing a set of policies, and numerous system enhancements required to comply with the new regulations.⦁ Worked closely with stakeholders to establish Westpac’s insurance digital transformation roadmap.⦁ Was a key member of the internal team helping to support buyer due diligence and de-merger planning for the sale of Westpac Life

Following this promotion, I was leading an internal innovation team that, in just over 6 months, delivered the market validation, development, testing and release of a new product focused on powered asset management (ETrack Wired) which both broadened EROAD's potential market as well as creating new upselling possibilities for their large existing customer base. I also conducted some preliminary customer validation work on EROAD's next-gen products including a connected dash camera.

At EROAD I managed a portfolio of fleet management and compliance solutions targeting the heavy transport industry across NZ, Australia and the US. Responsibilities & Achievements:• Product Manager of EROAD's critically acclaimed Electronic Logging Device (ELD) in the US market from concept through to launch, which resulted in record sales growth and continues to drive sales today• Successfully launched the 'Ehubo2' legal distance recorder into New Zealand, which quickly established itself as the leading eRUC and driver safety solution in market• Oversaw development of several new hardware revisions including a major upgrade to 4G cellular, and a new cabling system to enable quick and easy installations capable of acquiring data from engine control modules• Established relationships with key external vendors to boost internal capabilities

Following several successful projects, and the acquisition of Actronic Technologies (LOADRITE) by Trimble, I was offered the chance to move into a Product Management role.Responsibilities & Achievements:• Product owner for the on-board weighing solutions team• Managing product roadmaps, backlogs and prioritising across multiple product streams • Regularly engaging with stakeholders, both internal and external• Working closely with sales, internal SMEs and developers to flesh out user stories and acceptance criteria• Creating wireframes, mock-ups and workflows for stories when necessary• Regular international travel to liaise with and train dealers, customers and end users• Orchestrated system integration with several of the world's leading mine management systems including Leica, Wenco and CAT Minestar• Built relationships and trust with key mining accounts including Glencore and BHP Billiton• Product technical and sales training with both customers and internal staff, both in-person and via webinars

At Actronic I was a key member of a small team responsible for developing hydraulic weighing solutions. My most significant project was the development of a new small user interface platform and the platform’s first product, the L1128 weighing indicator for wheel loaders.Responsibilities and achievements:• Technical lead for the JD Link integration between Actronic and John Deere• Designed and developed two new low-cost weighing indicator products (Loadrite L1128 & S1100)• Lead developer for a new product skew delivered to the European market (Loadrite L2150)• Introduced a unit test framework for existing products and championed the use of test-driven development• Development lead for several maintenance releases across the embedded product range• Worked to improve agile maturity of the dev team, including introducing sprint retrospectives• Actively collaborated with product managers to refine feature specifications, and develop acceptance criteria
