As of July 25, 2016, I will be joining The Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative as Executive Director.As Director of the Markit Environmental Registry I was responsible for both the day-to-day operations of the Registry as well as the strategic positioning of the Registry in the area of corporate sustainability. We expanded beyond simply carbon, to include water, other environmental benefits, and even energy capacity. My entire work experience reflects a systems approach to problem-solving. I have a technical background (MS Mechanical Engineering) and worked as a systems engineer at Bell Laboratories. After receiving my MBA, systems theory continued to flow into my work as a new products consultant and a derivatives controller at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank respectively. When I founded OpServe LLC, the mission was a to provide a new system and a new way of accessing the derivatives markets for end-users of these financial instruments.Climate change is the biggest systems problem that mankind has ever caused - and may ever face. It requires a systems approach to addressing it. The framework put forth by W.
