In my role as a Research Liaison Officer, my primary responsibilities are to establish and manage contacts with collaborating partners and funders and coordinate relevant research across SRC's diverse research themes with a primary focus on the Human Ocean theme.I am proactively looking for opportunities to initiate and nurture new partnerships with organisations of relevance to the SRC. more widely; connecting marine science, sustainability and emerging technologies. I will collaborate with researchers who are part of the Global Economic Dynamics and the Biosphere Programme at the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences around these themes and, I continue to develop my work on scenarios of the future ocean through my Radical Ocean Futures project.I will also be working with colleagues at the SRC to support the ongoing development of our research vision that can provide a foundation for new partnerships and attract new sources of long-term, strategic flexible funding to support continued exploration of emerging research frontiers.

Managed social media at Globe Forum Stockholm 2010, Globe Forum Dublin 2010, Globe Forum Stockholm 2011, Planet Under Pressure 2012 and the launch event for the IPCC fifth assessment report in Stockholm 2014. I undertook a two year master's programme entitled 'Ecosystems, Governance and Globalisation.' at the Stockholm Resilience Centre (SRC). The first year was coursework and the second year was a full year master's thesis focusing on the emergence and spread of Marine Spatial Planning around the world. During this time, I began working on social media with the SRC communications team

Global Ocean Futures – Governance of marine fisheries in the AnthropoceneThis PhD thesis provides an analysis of how an adaptive governance approach can be applied to address existing and emerging challenges in global governance with a focus on marine, wild-capture fisheries. All the papers share a coupled social-ecological framing while providing diverse but complementary perspectives. These papers make a novel contribution to Sustainability Science through their focus on 1) the conditions for, and mechanisms of emergence of diverse and divergent governance forms, 2) the role of agency in complex actor settings, 3) the need for governance institutions to not only deal with, but also be able to anticipate surprise, and 4) the development of scenarios of marine social-ecological futures using a creative and rigorous narrative approach.Keywords: fisheries, futures, global governance, marine ecosystems, scenarios, social-ecological system

At EyeForTravel, I was brought on specifically to work on a project focused on the use of emerging mobile technologies in the travel industry. In this role I wrote a substantial report and was involved in an event to launch the report. As part of this role I also brought in significant financial support for the project even in the midst of a challenging time for the global economy.

Develop and project manage conferences in the healthcare sector particularly focused on the pharmaceutical industry.

A combination of a diverse administration role and involvement in a number of special projects. This included a three month research project into possible future developments in the New Zealand health sector involving research interviews with NZ health sector experts and, a strategic analysis of New Zealand pharmaceutical industry submissions to Pharmac (New Zealand Pharmaceutical Funding Agency) between 2001 and 2008.

This role involved supporting the Regional Manager and the Business development manager in undertaking the remit of NZTE in Chile particularly focused on projects within the Food Value Chain, Biotechnology and Horticulture
