Developing strategies for protecting intellectual property in Australia and overseas.My current work spans: prosecution, coordinating patent portfolios, oppositions, searching, freedom-to-operate opinions, drafting, and strategic advisory services. I provide advice to both domestic and international clients, utilising Australian and New Zealand practice to help with the commercialisation of my clients’ products. My client base covers universities to global companies in a range of technological areas including: pharmaceuticals, polymers, veterinary science, agriculture, green technology, inorganic materials and nanotechnology.I am able to able to apply my previous “hands-on” experience in a laboratory to my present role, assisting my clients with both the drafting and the prosecution of their patent applications, and navigating them through the various options for protecting, or enforcing, their intellectual property. I am keen to talk to inventors who wish to protect their intellectual property or those who need to review pending and/or granted patents to determine whether these will pose a potential infringement risk to a proposed commercial action.
