As a Director of Johnston Withers Law firm, I specialize in property law and related commercial disputes and transactions. I am a member of the Law Society of South Australia, the American Association for Justice, and the Australian Lawyers Alliance since and am currently the state secretary. Whilst I am based in the Adelaide office of Johnston Withers, I also assist people with complex commercial matters in our regional offices, and act for clients both interstate and overseas. Commencing my legal career in 1992, I became a partner at Nicholls Gervasi in 1994, practicing primarily in tax and personal injury matters and litigation after some initial work in criminal law and family law. I have always had a keen interest in property law and enjoy the challenge of complex matters. Joining Johnston Withers in 2009 has allowed me to focus on my passion in property law. Whilst I am also the managing director of the firm, I continue to work on commercial matters, including agreement drafting, complex conveyancing, leases, mortgages, business succession and related estate planning and wills. Due to the nature of these areas, I continue to deal with litigation matters including lease disputes, mortgage repossession, debt claims, commercial disputes and business transactions. I enjoy a strong client base and have been able to assist various individuals, small corporate and larger corporate clients in their business growth and development. As the State secretary of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, an organisation dedicated to the protection and promotion of justice, I have assisted clients in a wide spectrum of injury claims – from minor matters to catastrophic injuries, and the work of the association to protect individual rights.Johnston Withers is a Gold Alliance member of The Law Society of South Australia.
