Andrew Monchar is a companion animal and exotics veterinary surgeon. He attained an intercalated Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Veterinary Conservation Medicine in 2006 from the University of Liverpool and qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2009. Having worked placements at Knowsley Safari Park, Stapely Grange RSPCA Wildlife Hospital and Chester Zoo as a veterinary student, a keen interest in exotic animals and conservation was fostered culminating in spending a few months volunteer working in the Arava Desert, Israel on a wildlife re-introduction project immediately after graduation.In the formative years of Andrew’s veterinary career, he worked at a broad variety of multi-vet first opinion companion animal practices and referral hospitals. He has been working as a locum veterinary surgeon serving practices in London and its surround for four years seeing everything from (The) Corgis to Eagle Owls and monkeys. In 2017, Two By Two Veterinary Centre was founded by Andrew to serve the needs of North London’s companion animal and exotic pet population.A proud husband and father of one young son, Andrew enjoys bird watching, innovative technology and gadgets, travelling to far-flung destinations and watching his beloved Everton F.C. in the English Premier League.
