As a Solutions Architect, I am responsible for planning for and providing technical direction for the current and future state of our enterprise product, Propertyware. Currently, we are in the process of transitioning our aging web product into a cutting edge PaaS system that will service the needs of our web client, mobile clients, and customer integration needs in a scalable, fault tolerant manner.

I am a development manager and lead engineer working on the Propertyware platform. We are a full-stack development team, so the opportunities to learn are many. We make use of many current technologies and development languages/frameworks from the web front-end to the back-end database.

I work in the Small Market Business division for the Propertyware team. Propertyware is a web-based application for property management that allows your data to live "in the cloud". Most recently, I led a team that delivered a module which allows users to create and execute Inspections on real estate entity (house, building, apartment, etc.). This will integrate with a mobile component (iOS and Android) to enable real time inspections for property managers. Since this was a new module in the product, I saw a perfect opportunity to experiment with Backbone.js and AMD (Require.js) in order to distribute rendering to the client via Handlebars templates and JSON feeds. To make it work with our existing back-end technology stack, I implemented a custom Backbone.sync method to map our client models into a format that could be parsed into a Java Struts ActionForm on the server. With that project in beta, I'm moving on to help solidify the code base by pushing unit test coverage and refactoring.

Worked on a team of developers responsible for one of the company's leading products, Tenant Pro. Tenant Pro is a .NET desktop application that provides an end-to-end property management solution to the customer, complete with an accounting package.

Worked on an enterprise web portal and middleware server component to augment the flagship desktop application, SansWrite. SansWrite allows users to create custom forms and inspection templates that can be completed and archived, through a middleware component, to a back-end data store. I was responsible for creating the networking implementation as well as the threading model used to allow multiple archives to commence simultaneously. I also designed and developed a web portal that allows users to view archived inspections and perform data entry to augment the inspections. The data entry forms were rendered on-the-fly from layouts stored in the database. Work was done in C# and ASP.NET as well as C/C++ and FoxPro.

Designed and developed companion software to the IMIGIT product that would run on the Windows Mobile platform as well as some distributed print queue aspects of the IMIGIT software using C/C++.
