Manage steel racking scheduling and production for two large solar customers. Sales for these customers are for 52 individual solar farms totaling 45 million pounds of steel during the last 30 month time frame and still growing. Responsible for arranging most logistics including steel releases from processing facilities and shipments to the solar farms. These solar farms are located throughout Ontario with very tight delivery windows.Liaise directly with customers’ project managers. Maintain daily inventory, targets, and production activities. Communicate directly with the customer with detailed excel reports/charts. Coordinate staff of 18 individuals over three shifts to meet the daily targets and schedule overtime as necessary. Work closely with machine operators to troubleshoot problems to ensure high quality and productivity.

Scheduled 12 steel roll-forming lines and 4 brake presses. Purchase steel for over 100 different roll-form products that include many types of metals, strengths, and coatings. Calculated slit processing to maximize full usage of master coils. Arranged logistics for production requirements to achieve sales targets of $900 K per month and optimize inventory turns. Provided support by coordinating all work orders, tags and shipping documents. Processed inventory transactions on a daily basis. Prepared detailed reports for management using Excel and a manufacturing ERP system. Improved maintenance schedule and focused on safety requirements for individual roll-forming lines.

Responsible for: Purchasing, advertising, coordination of CNE Concession, hiring, training and supervision of staff.General Contractor for new store located in Bowmanville: tendering, contracting and supervising and coordinating activities of all trade staff to meet tight deadlines. Achieved the target of completion and opened within 4 weeks.
