Headphone Sound Control

Led the engineering team responsible for the design of new audio transducers for Bose products.

Led an interdisciplinary research team consisting of acoustical, mechanical, and materials engineers in the exploration of novel transducer concepts. Served as technical liaison for transducer projects with the Noise Reduction Technology Group and Professional Systems Division. Co-created corporate microphone technology roadmap. Individual contributor in the areas of structural, acoustical, and magnetic finite element analysis, linear and nonlinear lumped parameter modeling of acoustical systems, and transducer design.

Contributed to the acoustical design of audio headphones and integrated voice communication systems.

Designed new audio transducers for the Bose Automotive Systems Division. Responsibilities included acoustic performance modeling and design, acoustical measurements, magnetic performance modeling and design, execution of listening tests.

Composed, performed, recorded, and mixed original music and sound effects for independent film projects.

Developed MATLAB code to predict the dynamic response of composite structures using measurements of the uncoupled component structures. Planned and executed all measurements required for the predictions as well as measurements for verification of the predictions.

Worked on all aspects of the acoustic design of world-class performing arts facilities, including room acoustics, acoustic isolation and noise and vibration control. Contributed to the acoustical design of several world-class performing arts facilities including: Frederick P. Rose Hall (The home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City), the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County (Miami, FL), and the Esplanade: Theatres on the Bay (Republic of Singapore).
