Defining and expressing the unique Max and Cycling '74 Software brands through rich interactive experiences, visual imagery, and writing. Using a hands-on approach, I'm responsible for developing product/brand strategy while driving specific public-facing initiatives that stay true to the ethics and shared vision of a uniquely creative and engaged software company. Truly a blend of strategic and concept-driven thinking and DIY experimentation with new forms.

San Francisco

Developed software features and product concepts from sketches to implemented software, by leading small distributed development teams. Researched potential growth areas and developed product direction and messaging recommendations. Created prototypes and proof of concept for new digital product ideas and feature areas as well as interactive web displays and demo/educational content for the Max product.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Design and develop unique interactive graphics, wacky animations, and art experiences for brands and artists. Technologies include audio-responsiveness, depth cameras, computer vision, OpenGL/GLSL, web, 3D modeling/rigging, control systems, and networked communications. Brand clients include Nike, Pepsi, and Giphy. Artist clients include M.I.A., Aphex Twin, Clipping., Matmos, MGMT, and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith.

Introduced young artists to interactive media tools and supported them in creating original works incorporating sensors, gestural interaction, computer vision, sound, and realtime graphics. Developed curricula and contributed to the mission and identity of the Design and Technology department.
