About Andrew Nelson

30+ years of technology expertise. 14 years of administration of all aspects of the data center: SAN, Storage, UNIX, Windows, Virtualization, and LAN. Strong networking background implementing and maintaining LAN and WAN both in the data center and multi-site and mobile WAN deployments. 15+ years of sales and integration experience across the breadth of physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure. My current role has a part-time (30%) technology and OEM management role that reports up to the office of the CTO. The job duties include evaluating and managing existing and new technology vendors and integrating them into our offerings and our field teams.I also have an ongoing relationship with our marketing efforts both in person and virtually. Some of the in person activities I regularly participate in are CXO events in the DFW area, working national trade shows, user groups for various technologies and lunch and learns in region. I also have recorded many LinkedIn Live sessions and marketing collateral for my current employer to use in sales campaigns.I have a legacy in the OT (Operational Technology) space early in my career. This experience has enabled my passions around IoT (Internet of Things) and AI around sensors, cameras, and remote data feeds. What is old is now new again - IT at it finest!
