• Create a promotion video clip to introduce myself and life at the university towards prospective students, including content posts to share tips and experiences living in Sydney• Provide prospective students with advice towards university and course selection, scholarshipsand financial support offered through a live “chat-to-chat” platform• Assist in the University’s student recruitment and marketing team to promote the image and reputation of the university

• Share experiences and advice for first-year undergraduate students in Media and Communication field through emails, catch-ups and social events• Develop leadership and communication skills while interacting with student leaders, academic and professional staff to build an inclusive environment• Provide helpful and accessible resources to study well in core Media units at the university with career development workshops

I was referred to this role by my lovely tutor, Lea Redfern - who has over 20 years of experience at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) as a producer of features and documentaries, to meet Rod Chambers - Executive Producer of The Wire Newsroom. Here are key takeaways I learned throughout my time working at The Wire:• Keep updated with all fresh and hot news or trends to find interesting story arcs and develop emotions from audiences through sympathy• Be confident! Research various sources, give them a call and politely ask for a short 5-min interview. Make it clear to the talents/ experts why their insights and story are important for the targeted listeners and give them a sense of care and love• Active listening: Make the interview like a small talk or little conversation so that the talents feel comfortable and safe to express their thoughts and feelings, and always be prepared to capture interesting views • Get familiar with all the equipment: Always ask for help and guidance, and practising frequently• Edit multitrack audio on the day to meet the sharp on-air deadline at 6 pm
