As Finance Manager for Lutheran Community Care Aged Care Services, in an acting role, I provide leadership to Regional Accountants and support to other Finance Managers and Operations Management to achieve required outcomes. I am responsible for reporting results and commentary on the Aged Care Services performance to CFO and CEO. Responsibilities include the production of Monthly KPI reports for Operations and Executive Management, annual Industry Survey lodgements (Stewart Brown Survey and Home Care Survey and Acquittal), preparation of audit information, analysis and financial modelling for several projects, including preparation of Business Cases, ACAR submissions and Home Care Program pricing structure.

Formulating the direction of services with Regional Managers, I supported sustainable spending behaviours, rostering, fee structures and services supplied to clients.Providing direct leadership to a team of seven, I oversaw financial administration of 120 services by a team of five finance officers. This included data integrity, policy and procedure compliance, internal audit functions, and training. To support staff response to change, I developed a range of templates, tools and forms to promote consistency and business excellence. Managing ongoing commercial expansion through acquisitions and service developments, I developed submissions, grant applications, projections, space evaluations and client demographics. I also compiled and analysed financial information to inform government submissions, and oversaw the implementation of government legislation and regulation changes.With robust skills in project management and IT, I also conducted reconciliations of childcare software to financial software. Key to my success in this role was my ability to champion change and achieve seamless transitions during mergers, acquisitions and IT upgrades, including supporting extensive training of staff.
