Andrew Paris (he/him) is a settler residing in Truro, Nova Scotia, and hailing from Summerside, Prince Edward Island – both located in Mi'kma'ki, the traditional and unceeded territory of the Mi'kmaq people. With over eighteen years of experience in the sport and recreation sectors, Andrew is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. He has held pivotal leadership roles at prominent institutions such as the Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic, Curling Canada, and the Government of Nova Scotia.Since 2018, Andrew has expanded his impact as an inclusion consultant, partnering with over thirty clients across various sectors, including education, healthcare, municipal governance, and agriculture. His expertise in fostering inclusive environments is informed by his extensive professional background and lived experiences.Beyond his professional endeavors, Andrew is dedicated to community service, volunteering with several sports organizations. He is the founder of the Black Rock Initiative, a non-profit organization aiming to create opportunities for BIPOC youth to experience the sport of Curling and to provide Curling clubs with the resources to become welcoming and inclusive spaces for their communities.Currently working with the Office of African Nova Scotian Affairs.
