I am the lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist of a multiple location department. I was a staff Technologist for 9 years prior to my current role. In my time as Lead I have overseen the standardization of our multiple departments across two hospitals and a clinic. These include imaging protocols as well as daily department processes. I have moved our manuals and records to an almost completely digital solution. I have responsibilities that include coding verification to ensure that we have the correct codes for our procedures as well as invoice oversight for our radiotracers. I was the lead resource for information while opening our new PETCT scanner located at our regional cancer center. This included suite design and protocol and procedure creation and verification, as well as creation and implementation of daily workflows. When new processes or procedures are performed I am the go to for research, process build, initial training and a resource for staff technologist during their daily work. I have worked on multiple teams during my tenure, on projects that include staffing models and consolidations of separate departments. I work closely on a regular basis with the Information Systems team to ensure that we are utilizing our technology to its fullest capabilities. I have helped create workflows in EPIC Radiant for our nuclear medicine departments on multiple occasions. We just completed a complete rebuild of our order and scheduling workflow in Radiant. I have also received advanced training on Philips Intelispace Portal software.
