Key Projects:-Created ACE, a tool to assist analysts in their review of claims: -Leveraged various data sources, including legal bills and invoice text notes, and trained a suite of models (XGBoost and Random Forest) to predict how claims would resolve: likelihood of settlement, potential indemnity amount, and cost to defend. -Dockerized the repository and deployed the models to provide live claim scoring. -Built an automated Azure DevOps pipeline to efficiently and distributedly re-score all claims daily. -Designed a user interface in Shiny, JavaScript, and CSS to allow analysts to interact with the models and created a CI/CD pipeline to deploy the app to production environments. -Frequently demoed the tool to executives and trained claims analysts as part of an organization-wide rollout. -Led a weekly Community of Practice to teach colleagues various python concepts, data science methods and general coding practices.

Built a distributed pipeline to efficiently fetch, transform, and score millions of images, given a set of addresses. Used Mask RCNN, Fast.AI, and MLFlow to deploy several models extracting features that indicate how well a customer maintains their property.-Led the data science portion of Total Home Score, a product using both public and proprietary data to score buildings on annoyance factors often hard to quantify, including noise level, traffic, and road safety (visualization available at TotalHomeScore.com)-Used custom geospatial algorithms for score creation and efficiently scaled the product to 18 states and over 150 million buildings using Luigi and Dask-Other products delivered include: an algorithm to estimate a building’s roof pitch and surface area using LIDAR data, a Mask R-CNN model to obscure license plates in customer claims pictures, a model utilizing geospatial data pulled from Boston and Chicago’s open data portals to predict home claims risk at a block level, and an XGBoost model trained on Liberty Mutual data to predict the riskiness of third party drivers

Contributed to the development of OneGate, the healthcare exchange website for multiple states by performing quality assurance tests and tracking state-requested product improvements.Supported OneGate’s Change of Circumstance product by overseeing the fulfillment of contractual requirements and ensuring the inclusion of desired user functionality over dozens of product upgrade releases.

Assisted the investment team by researching and reporting on investment opportunities, conducting due diligence on target funds and managers, and analyzing the performance of the portfolio across ten asset classes.
