Outrigger Awnings started as an idea in 1994 when I saw the need in Australia for a company to provide top quality custom designed fabric structures. To order a quality sail in 1994 required an architect for the concept design, an engineer to certify the design and size the poles and frame, a sailmaker to manufacture the awning, a fabricator to manufacture the poles and frame, and a builder to assemble and install the whole structure. My goal was to provide all of these services by the one company and in the process improve the quality and provide substantial cost savings.Over the last 30 years we have developed a range of unique awning and sail designs, and have specialised in high quality residential projects and small to medium sized commercial projects. Our awnings can be fixed, demountable or retracting, and they may be manufactured from shade or rainproof fabrics. Our retracting awnings can be left out in heavy rain and high winds, with each and every awning designed and fabricated in our factory.
