Mount Carmel West Hospital

I was the Director of Finance Hospital Operations for Mount Carmel West hospital, the longest serving hospital of the Mount Carmel Health System. I was responsible for month close, variance analysis, service line analysis and business planning, operating/capital budgeting and long range forecasts. - Managed capital planning and prioritization for the site and system managers; - Analyzed and modeled operational improvements in Emergency Department expected to result in increased annual contribution of $1.3M; - Modeled expansion of offsite ambulatory facility expected to result in annual contribution of several million dollars; - Assisted in the analysis and implementation of behavioral health department improvements resulting in moving from $800k loss to break even.Mount Carmel West is a 300+ bed, full-service, urban hospital within MCHS, the largest division of Trinity Health of Novi, Michigan.

Managed divisions in the U.S. and Canada with revenues totaling $10 million for the products of bibliographic record creation, and digitization and microfilming products. Developed global partnering agreements with institutions in India and Egypt which included product growth into local markets, as well as sourcing for the U.S. market.Coordinated product strategy and execution for U.S., Europe, and the Middle East.
