I am a senior financial services professional with over 25 years' experience in key account management, business development and communications. This has involved me developing close partnerships with several large blue-chip organisations as well as being the primary interface for thousands of SMEs.My current role at NS&I (National Savings and Investments) is to proactively engage with the financial advice community, to keep NS&I front-of-mind and encourage advisers' advocacy. Ultimately leading to advisers viewing NS&I products as the default option for the low risk cash element of customers' investment portfolios.NS&I offers a range of financial products with 100% security for all money invested - due to our backing by HM Treasury - even above the Financial Services Compensation Scheme limit. This provides absolute peace of mind for both advice firms and their customers. Its most well-known product is Premium Bonds, but it also offers savings accounts, ISAs, income bonds, and fixed term savings. As Head of Intermediary Relationships, I am committed to supporting the financial advice industry in looking after the finances of many of NS&I's high value customers. Currently NS&I has around 1.5m customers with £50,000 or more invested, holding a combined total of £145billion (about 68% of the total NS&I book). The assumption is that many of these customers will have sought financial advice at some point, so it is vital my team builds close ties with this key audience.In this endeavor, the team I lead has won multiple industry awards. These include awards at the 'Financial Adviser Service Awards' in both 2022 and 2024. These prestigious awards are run by the Financial Times and are voted for by financial advisers themselves. My team member, Madalina Limbert, also won the 'Young Marketer of the Year' award at the 'Financial Services Forum Awards' in 2023.Finally, I am part of NS&I's senior management team, with considerable leadership experience, and one of NS&I's key spokespeople, primarily for the financial advice trade media.
