Inaugural Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Terrorism and Illicit Finance on the House Financial Services Committee and Senior Policy Advisor to Chairman Jeb Hensarling.Designed and implemented the overall strategy for the new subcommittee, including designating areas of focus, creating hearing and briefing topics, hiring and managing staff, directing legislative priorities, working directly with Members of Congress and their senior staffs, and held 14 hearings and over 100 briefings for Members and staff.Directed all aspects of the subcommittee with jurisdiction over the financial support networks of national security threats, including matters related to terrorist financing, money laundering, drug sale proceeds, alternative remittance systems, exploitation of virtual currencies, asset forfeiture, and financial sanctions.
