I am a business leader with deep commercial expertise, first-hand experience of major corporate transactions and a calm, strategic approach. Currently providing Strategic support to a Food business headquartered in Leicester , I’m driving complex projects and distribution and supply chain solutions that will drive growth and realise opportunities in the Food to go Sector.I have held executive director roles in businesses that are people-intensive, highly reliant upon strong relationships within the supply chain, and, increasingly, are underpinned by technology. At Kerry Foods I held senior roles with Direct to Store, an operation that was coming under increasing strain from the rapidly evolving convenience store market. I’m hugely proud of what we achieved to reshape the business, and I personally gained experience in delivering major change, negotiating deals and growth through acquisition, all in the context of meeting challenging budget objectives. With much of my career in fresh produce businesses, I am skilled in finding solutions to critical supply chain problems, and am very knowledgeable in European distribution and logistics partners and channels.I have in-depth knowledge of business acquisition, having co-led an MBO from Kerry Foods Ltd. I dealt with professional advisers on legal, due diligence and contractual matters, and handled the TUPE process and renegotiations with employees. I’ve learnt a lot from success in business, in particular the importance of fostering trust-based relationships and market knowledge. I’ve also gained huge insight from when things don’t go smoothly, including technical resolution of business issues, working with lawyers and other advisers to retrieve the best outcomes for the company and its employees.I’m entrepreneurial in approach and have an online business selling zero waste skin care products; this involved social/digital & traditional commercial tools.
