The purpose of this role was to add capacity to the West Africa operations team in order to better assess the efficacy of existing financial products. Summarized below are several key activities I accomplished while in this role:•Created a five year budget forecast for Burkina Faso, Mali and Côte D’Ivoire and develop a strategy for addressing the budget gap.•Led the roll-out of a three country CRM system, coordinating staff across multiple departments, geographies, cultures and languages.•Implemented Customer Satisfaction Survey and Progress out of Poverty Index, market research surveys designed to improve marketing and product development. •Took internal research on disaster management microfinance along with industry best practices and turn it into a report that was used for institutional learning.

This role as a Loan Officer had minimal supervision and required an individual who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and fosters an entrepreneurial attitude towards new business development. Here I was was developing new business, analyzing financial statements and credit reports, providing recommendations to management and then monitoring accounts post disbursement. When new loan quotas were introduced the company saw new levels of portfolio growth in my region!
