    The Edge "EntSec" team was formed out of the Edge web platform team as we adopted the Chromium project. We launched the chromium-based version of Edge in Jan 2020.We're making Edge THE browser for enterprises, especially for those who are invested in M365. We work with many teams across M365 to bring the best of their capability natively into Edge. We also provide the core security platform for Edge by innovating in a strong sandbox and process model. We provide user protection with phish protection and capabilities like Microsoft Defender Application Guard. We also work on proactive security in the product, doing vulnerability research and security issues in Edge. We partner closely with the Edge engineering teams to review architect and design for security, as well as code-review. We strive to bring security mindedness to the Edge team via education on security issues. Lastly, we provide security response and rapid release of patches, should a security issue be detected externally.The Edge team is highly data-driven and strives to be customer-focused. Our unique project requires that we are experts at collaboration, both for the chromium OSS project as well as being excellent at collaboration with teams across Microsoft.
