VEKA is the World’s largest extruder of uPVC window and conservatory profile, with operations in 46 countries.Joined as the sole member of the IT Department. Initial setup consisted of 50 clients, running Windows 3.11, and a single server connected via a small token-ring network. This was significantly expanded over the next seven years, during which I was promoted to UK IT Manager, responsible for all aspects of department management and managing a small team. At the time I left it comprised 350 users, 180 clients and multiple servers over 10 locations.Made regular presentations to the management team and to the group board, regarding IT strategy, policies and practice.
