At this company my primary duties were to be the SME for the call center work from home Cisco Meraki deployment, create and deploy firewall policy with Palo Alto next-gen firewalls, assist with a merger and acquisition of another company into Prime's network, as well as higher level application troubleshooting. I also served as backup contact for the Cisco ISE environment as well as the Cisco Wireless environment. I was often pulled into random troubleshooting calls to assist from a network perspective to try to determine causes of issues from other IT departments within the company.

In this position I served as the top level escalation point for any and all network issues that presented themselves. I would need to remedy routing issues, ISP outages while also building and implementing new network solutions for the 170+ fitness clubs around the US and Canada. I developed two separate life cycle redesigns for WAN connectivity to the fitness clubs, one with a standard Cisco router and then finally with an SD-WAN solution using CloudGenix hardware. I worked with ISPs to coordinate installs as well as normal troubleshooting and some contract negotiations. I also provided a considerable amount of Cisco WIFI support for the fitness clubs as well. This position was very heavy on Palo Alto deployment, management and policy.

At Lifetouch I helped maintain and design existing and new network architecture within the company. I worked on redesigning the network to become more scalable, robust and redundant via a then brand new DMVPN SOHO solution. It enabled streamlined communications within the company and a high quality of service. I worked a considerable amount of time on configuring, deploying and administering an F5 environment of 32 devices. I also updated the entire main office campus to then new access layer hardware and updated core infrastructure to Cisco Nexus gear in the main datacenter.

In this position, I handled upper-level network operations tasks such as network/application troubleshooting and proactive monitoring of network resources. I supported a world-wide network of manufacturing plants and sales offices in several different countries. I assisted in the roll out of a new central IP phone system, as well as Cisco Contact Center.

This position primarily involved standard network operations tasks. I interfaced with the telecommunications ISPs that our customers used in their networks to repair issues that would arise. The shop provided 24 hour service to several customers in the Minneapolis area and midwest.

I worked on maintaining the base computer network. I provided network connectivity to all buildings within the confines of the base. I also worked in a Theater Deployable Global Reach Communications unit that had the ability to deploy base-line internet and phone connectivity to any remote site throughout the world.
