I am working as a graphic designer, finished artist and illustrator based just outside London in Leigh-on-Sea. I specialise in design for print, finished artwork and illustration and I have experience in digital design as well.

Art of Adventure is my poster design business. Launched in 2011, it is my avenue for showcasing my illustration work. 

I design posters in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and they are available for sale in a variety of locations including the Art of Adventure website that I designed and built. My illustrations revive a classic era of poster design, combining contemporary style with the nostalgia of 20th Century advertising. They reflect my love of travel, nature and surfing in particular.

Art of Adventure started in Sydney, Australia and I have expanded it to the UK. It continues to flourish in Australia and it is growing steadily in the UK, selling globally.

I spent fourteen years working freelance in Sydney, Australia before returning to the UK in 2017.

I worked for many leading design and advertising agencies on prestigious brands. Initially, I worked in-house. Subsequently, I set up my own studio working from home, creating design and artwork for a variety of brands and small local businesses. My major client was Unilever and I worked across many of their well-known brands. Others included an events company and small trade companies.

Unilever projects involved creating promotional graphics for product launches which required advertising, brochures, point of sale – stands, towers, wobblers, hangsells, flyers and posters. I created new key visuals and I adapted overseas campaigns for the Australian market. I produced assets which ran across in-store media and press, from design to finished art. I managed my time and budgets, and liaised with production and brand managers.

Other work ranged from designing branding (logos, letterheads, business cards, car graphics), websites, direct mail, advertising, brochures, point of sale and packaging projects to creating finished artwork for advertising, brand guidelines, annual reports and brochures ready to print.

I worked with some incredible agencies in Sydney including M&C Saatchi, Saatchi & Saatchi, The Monkeys, BMF Advertising, Whybin/TBWA, BWM Advertising, Oil Advertising, H&T Advertising, Re: Branding Consultancy (M&C Saatchi), Yello, Harcus Design, How Design, Barker Gray, TASK2, Oxygen Design, Alias Design, Precinct and The Artel Group.

I was fortunate to work with a wide range of clients and brands including Unilever, Nestlé, Sunsilk, Tresemmé, Dove, Lynx, Rexona, Clear, Impulse, Vaseline, Lux, Radox, Lipton, Lifebuoy, Comfort, Voyages Hotels, Optus, Telstra, David Jones, Kit Kat, Ben & Jerry's, Volkswagen, Hyundai, The Event Space and Sydney Olympic Park.

Prior to moving to Australia, I worked as a freelance graphic designer in Bath, England specialising in creating design and finished art for print.

I produced work for a number of blue chip companies including Lloyds TSB, Oracle, Red Rock and Toys ’R’ Us. I worked at agencies including Radio, Mason Zimbler, The Real Adventure, Inventive Minds, Design Central, Ignition and Armadillo Associates. Projects ranged from producing concepts for direct mail to designing and creating artwork for brochures and catalogues. 

I produced marketing material for a number of small local businesses, designing their branding including logos, stationery and websites.

I worked for The Lighthouse, a design and marketing agency based in Bath. 

As a designer, I produced adverts, brochures, leaflets, direct mail and point of sale for leading multi-national companies. I interpreted briefs, produced design concepts and final artwork ready for print.

Clients included Nikon, Kraft, St.Ivel, Clynol, Petplan (Cornhill Insurance), TXU Energy and SHL Personnel Management.

I first visited Australia in 1999 and, after travelling round, I spent eight months working in Sydney as a freelance graphic designer. 

I worked at agencies McCann Erickson, Cohn & Wells, Grey Advertising and BKM Ogilvy One, Morton Design, Gorilla Design and in-house design departments of Bankers Trust, Strathfield and Telstra. 

The work involved producing finished art and design for adverts, direct mail, brochures, annual reports and packaging.

I worked within a marketing team as a graphic designer for Word Entertainment – an international music and publishing distribution company. My main duties included the design and artwork of posters, point of sale pieces (flats, headers and counter displays), exhibition banners, brochures, magazines, catalogues, adverts, CD, cassette, and book covers all of which promoted the music and publishing products.
