After 25 years, I left private practice (specializing in commercial and real estate litigation and bank workouts) to become General Counsel to a long-time client, Michigan Blueberry Growers Association. I am now responsible for providing in-house and strategic legal advice on a wide range of issues, including contracts, governance, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory matters and risk management. In addition, I work to develop and expand the sale and licensing of rights in proprietary blueberry varieties through MBG's affiliated entity, Berry Blue, LLC. My pragmatism, attention to detail, and extensive experience handling and resolving commercial cases allows me to help MBG assess and meet its legal obligations and avoid potential issues.
