Resposible for the strategic management of technology and operations at the UK and Ireland based Information Products business formally owned by MDA and now part of Decision Insight Information Group (UK) LimitedIn 2010 MDA sold of its Information Products businesses including SearchFlow to US Private Equity group TPG. I stayed with SearchFlow as it moved into new ownership, taking on additional responsibilities as the Chief Operating Officer for the UK & I group of companies (which included Xit2, Millar & Bryce and Rochford Brady). Under the new US leadership I set out the roadmap and started the process of operationally consolidating the UK entities involved in the transfer. This included introducing new outsourced ‘agile’ application development partners and methodologies and refreshing the architecture and infrastructure of the group in order to leverage common technologies and processes allowing the business to concentrate on its core customer focus.

General Manager for the E&W based conveyancing search business, part of the MDA information Products group in the UK.I helped create the IT & operational side of the business from the outset and was part of the management buyout team who acquired SearchFlow from our original business partners ESRI (UK) in 2005. We subsequently sold the business to the Canadian business MDA in 2006 absorbing MDA’s existing search business Transaction Online into SearchFlow.When entrepreneur Mark Riddick retired from the property search business I took over Managing Director and General Manager of SearchFlow merging the business with the recently acquired Richards Gray and MDA’s Home Information Pack Business, Advantage. At this point SearchFlow employed over 200 people and had a turnover of nearly £100mil. Faced with a new set of challenges as the property market turned during late 2008-2009 my passion for empowered organisational systems and structures and my commitment to clear and honest staff communication meant that SearchFlow remained at the top of the market and highly profitable during a turbulent economic period.
