Firmware, hardware, DSP, and algorithm development for a multi-sensor wristwatch, the Basis B1:• Created a modular, portable, and object-oriented firmware architecture with a custom task scheduler to ensure lowest power consumption with maximum signal integrity.• Individually contributed approximately 80% of the firmware codebase.• Designed, developed, and deployed DSP and algorithm solutions for real-time biometric monitoring including a proprietary frequency transform that does not require multiplies or divides.• Responsible for training entry-level firmware engineers.

Firmware and hardware development for a custom 3-phase, 8kW, UL certified inverter designed to work seamlessly with the company’s proprietary HCPV modules and solar tracker:• Real-time system development, profiling, and optimizations in C.• Designed and implemented the inverter’s top-level state-machine and fault module.• Performed extensive hardware and firmware debugging in a high-voltage environment that demanded creative techniques to prevent personal harm and equipment damage.Managed the transfer of bring-up and testing responsibilities from engineering to manufacturing operations for the entire embedded system platform that included inverter, motor control, and Linux CPU boards:• Documented a 250+ page step-by-step system level test plan for manufacturing.• Designed a sophisticated test fixture with LabView automation support for system bring-up and burn-in.
