Leapfrog was a Top 100 Managed Services Provider specializing in the SMB market.During my tenure revenue grew by 22% per year for 10 years, 70% of which was recurring.

Started a "marketplace" to intermediate the sales of business to business services using ratings, buying guides and the implied endorsement of 3rd party trusted advisors.Role: Concieved the idea based on the success we had in the PEO business leveraging trusted advisors recommendations, recruited a small team, built a prototype site, raised $800K seed equity.Results: Hit key milestones like a working website and recruiting launch partners but the distribution model was flawed and slow to develop. Closed the company and repaid creditors. Learned a lot.

NovaCare Employee Services (Nasdaq: NCES) became the nation's fastest growing and 2nd largest professional employer organization (PEO) during this time. Backed by an investment from NovaCare, Inc., the other founding executives and I took this company from start-up to IPO in 18 months. Responsibilities included:Marketing strategy, telemarketing, sales management, strategic partnership development, and acquisition due diligence & integration.Results: $500M in annualized contract sales in CY 1999. Built a department of 120 people while increasing results per salesperson by 400%. Launched 4 new "green field" markets. Integrated 8 acquired sales teams. Developed national partnerships with AFLAC and The Travelers.

This $600 million division was at the time the largest provider of outsourced rehabilitation services in the country. My role was to centralize the management of a national sales team and execute an aggressive sales & marketing strategy to counter 2 years of flat sales. Results: 60% increase in the value of annualized contract sales to $194M.
