I began as a dog walker, and progressed to Playgroup Runner, Playgroup Backup and now Playgroup Lead. I also work in the Valor Program, with incoming dog inventory and recordkeeping; observation/evaluation; dog2dog leash testing; and promotion for transfer.

Transfer Team: Testing, behavior observation, and communication with shelter staff to expedite best outcomes for each dog. Designed and implemented a visual inventory system to facilitate progressive management of shelter dogs. Adoption Volunteer: Talking with potential owners, showing dogs, explaining dog care, dog behavior, and integration of a dog into their home environment.

Peace for Pits is a rescue operation that focuses on finding loving, caring homes for “bully” breeds in need of help. In this 100% volunteer run organization, my involvement includes testing and identifying dogs that are best prospects for a successful rescue.
