Flexport is the operating system for global trade. I brought operations research to Flexport, designing and building an automated air cargo planning system. Today I run the data science effort behind the air and trucking teams.

I managed the data science analytics team for Uber's self-driving car group.

Architected and built USF's first data warehouse (Oracle, RHEL, Airflow, AWS, Python, SQL); designed and implemented all source extraction and ETL; trained USF staff in Python, ETL, Python, data warehousing (Kimball school), Linux, Airflow; hired USF's first full-time data engineer.

Data wrangling, analysis, and visualization for the Environmental Energy Technologies Division. I build web applications, scrapers, databases, fancy calculators, models, and other tools in the pursuit of faster and better research.

Developed electric utility rate model in Excel to analyze new photovoltaic market potential. Identified three new markets, and presented results to SunPower eastern regional sales teams. Communicated with state PUC and utility officials to interpret rate tariffs and legal documents and translate to models.

Helped geochemistry team narrow research focus by developing coal transportation research framework to identify the origin and chemical content of rail-shipped coal delivered to thermoelectric power plants in NC.

Proposal author and web site project manager for performing arts center. Headed research for department; led development of reports and proposals up to $5 million; led team responsible for $250,000 website redesign; coordinated intern program; authored company-wide style guide; designed and administered proprietary database to reduce development cycle time.

Provided music administration and library support to the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra. Researched and prepared concert music for rehearsals, performance, and tours. Daily administration of Jazz at Lincoln Center music library, CD library, archive, and database.

Taught Music 101 over two semesters to two large and academically diverse classes using in-class musical demonstrations, recordings, video, images, source readings, writing and listening assignments, and concert attendance. Administered both courses with Blackboard online course management system.
