As Assistant City Manager I support City operations across a variety of disciplines. I directly oversee human resources, information technology, finance, central services, building and fleet management, and risk management. I represent the City on the Executive Committee for the California Intergovernmental Risk Authority (CIRA) and serve as President of the Board for the Redwood Empire Municipal Insurance Fund (REMIF). I am currently leading the City's diversity, equity, and inclusion plan development, climate mobilization strategy development, cannabis business licensing implementation, and community based organization partnerships.

As Director of Administrative Services I led the City teams responsible for finance, utility billing, human resrouces, procurement, fleet and building management, information technology, and risk management. In this role I served as City Finance Director and Treasurer, Risk Manager, and Chief Procurement Official.

As Deputy Director for Administrative Services I led the operations and strategy for the Department's budgeting, accounting, human resources, contracting, business services, information technology, health and safety, risk management and insurance services. The Administration Division provides internal services to DGS's 3600 employees at over 60 locations across the state. I oversee the development and management of DGS's $1.2 billion annual operating budget plus an additional $1 billion in annual capital outlay projects. The Admin Division also provides accounting, budgeting, information technology and human resources services to over 50 client departments and is a leader in providing outstanding administrative services in the state.

The Department of General Services (DGS) serves as business manager for the state of California. DGS helps to better serve the public by providing a variety of services to state agencies, including procurement and acquisition solutions, real estate management and design, environmentally conscience transportation, professional printing services, administrative hearings, legal services, building standards, oversight of structural safety, fire/life safety and accessibility for the design and construction of K-12 public schools and community colleges, and funding for school construction.As Deputy Director for Legislative Affairs, I lead the departments legislative and government affairs activities. I also serve as the Department Tribal Liaison.

I served as an adjunct lecturer in the Masters in Public Policy and Public Administration Program at California State University Sacramento. For the Fall 2017 semester, I taught PPA 240A, Public Management and Administration.

The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) was created by Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. to serve as California’s single point of contact for economic development and job creation efforts. GO-Biz offers a range of services to business owners including: attraction, retention and expansion services, site selection, permit assistance, regulatory guidance, small business assistance, international trade development, assistance with state government, and more. The state Infrastructure Bank (IBank), California Film Commission, and California Commission on Travel and Tourism (Visit California) are also part of GO-Biz.As Deputy Director for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs I led the legislative and government affairs program for GO-Biz, the Infrastructure Bank, the California film Commission, and the California Commission on Travel and Tourism. I also led cross-cutting efforts to improve California's business climate with other state departments.
