The initial focus of my work at SecuritEase is around the upcoming ASX CHESS replacement program and helping new clients to migrate to the SecuritEase ASX Gateway - our clearing and settlement gateway system. Replace legacy CHESS interfacing systems with the SecuritEase ASX Gateway and get: a feature-rich, reliable, scalable, high performance, futureproof gateway built on modern, mainstream technology. SecuritEase offers a smooth transition from the current CHESS messaging interface to the CHESS Replacement AMQP ISO 20022 messaging interface. The ISO 20022 interface will be provided for free to SecuritEase ASX Gateway licensees.

Selling the IT services of XWL, primarily in the Wellington market.Advanced Unix & network engineer support / development services; as well as Microsoft systems support services.

I sold the Polycom range of audio products, especially VoIP, to resellers, integrators, and Telcos.

VoiceWise sold VoIP phones systems to small medium businesses in the Wellington region.

I used TD Works Ltd as a vehicle to sell my IT consulting services through.

Worked on the NZ Post account in a number of roles, including Team Leader of the Unix and Oracle support team, and finally for a year as a Service Delivery Manager.

One of only 3 employees based in New Zeland, selling Clarent VoIP equipment to carriers in Australasia.They eventually went bankrupt!

XannaX is an IT support company in Wellington. I started the company in 1993, at first simply as a vehicle to sell my IT - Unix contracting skills into Telecom New Zealand. I soon grew the company to supply other IT people into Telecom New Zealand and other small-medium enterprise customers. I invited Robbie Cameron and Steve Harcourt to join me as co-owners and directors. In 2000 I decided to have a change, and went to work for a US based company - Clarent Corporation, and "retired" from XannaX.I re-joined the company for a year from August 2010, and in 2011 XannaX re-branded as XWL.

This started out as a job in GCS supporting the Unix systems of Housing New Zealand and Land and Deeds.EDS bought GCS, and I stayed on there for a while.

I worked in the team selling and supporting the BRS text database system, that was sold to specialist libraries. It ran on PCs running SCO Unix / Xenix.I installed systems, and trained people how to use it. I also wrote small systems in the product's "3GL" language.I also started in the sales side of things while at CSNZ.Paxus ended up buying CSNZ. I stayed there for a while, then moved on.

This was my first job out of university. I worked in the IT team as a Pascal programmer, and started learning Unix and system administration.There were some scientists there working on the cutting edge of technology - installing one of the first LANs in Wellington, and X.25 - Ethernet gateways.The Fisheries Research Centre was absorbed into NIWA sometime after I left.
