As well as being an expert marketing practitioner and tactician, I think strategically about marketing and management, utilising my background in economics and significant real world marketing experience. You won't find me jumping on the latest marketing bandwagon until I have been convinced it adds value but I am always open to new ideas and approaches.Since 2001 I have been Director of Integra Communications a niche public relations company specialising in B2B PR, especially companies in closely defined trade sectors, and not for profit organisations. In recent years I have spent more of my time providing my marketing and commercial expertise to charitable activities, serving as a trustee for the Institute for Children, Youth and Mission, and educational charity focused on training church workers, and the Teso Development Trust, a charity supporting a very poor area in Uganda. I also speak regularly in local churches and am beginning to write and speak on the subject of the implications of advanced technology for Christian mission. I hold an MA in Economics from Cambridge University (Downing College), the Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and an MA in Mission from Cliff College accredited by University of Manchester. I have more than twenty years marketing experience in senior posts in the public and private sectors, often handling multi-million pound budgets and a further twenty in consultancy, mainly with not for profit organisations. I was Marketing Manager for British Coal's £400m portfolio of household fuels and was Commercial Manager on the management board of CPL Distribution Ltd, a £250m turnover fuel distributor. In both roles and many others in my career I have been responsible for marketing strategies in both consumer and business to business marketplaces.
