Andrew is an Olivier Award Nominated and award-winning classically trained composer & producer and the co-founder with Garry Hughes of the electronica/world music act Bombay Dub Orchestra. Andrew studied piano, clarinet and composition at the London College of Music under Dr Lloyd Webber and John McCabe, where he won the Director’s Medal for his Composition ‘Malentendu’ for piano, clarinet and flute.Andrew’s scored the stage play of 'Life of Pi' (Crucible, Sheffield 2019 & Wyndham’s, West End 2021/22) directed by Max Webster for which he was nominated for the Olivier Award 2022 for Best Original Score. 'Life of Pi' opens in the US in December 2022.He scored the play 'Henry V' at The Donmar (2022) starring Kit Harington also directed by Max Webster. The film version of Henry V was released in April 2022 through NT live in the UK and will be released globally in May 2022 onwards.His music often fuses orchestral with folk and traditional elements of music from the project's region and has scored many films in India including the National award-winning 'Hamid' by Aijaz Khan.Andrew scored Sturla Gunnarsson's feature doc 'Monsoon' which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2014 and won the Peoples Choice Award for the best Canadian Film.He also won Best Music in for a WebSeries in 2018 for the multi award-winning series 'BOSE: Dead/Alive' for Indian broadcaster ALTBalaji. He has also produced several films including the award-winning short La Lune Folle (Amazon Prime, Shorts TV) and 'We’ve Only Just Begun' (currently being submitted to festivals) (both films also written and directed by Meneka Das) Andrew will also be scoring, music supervising and co-producing her feature 'The Songs Within Me' currently in development with the BFI.Andrew’s company Bohemia Junction Ltd exclusively represents Abbey Road Studios & London’s Grand Philharmonic Orchestra for India as well as the FAMES’ Skopje Studio Orchestra (North Macedonia) and has provided music services for dozens of films over the last eight years as well as giving opportunities to Indian orchestrators to train and work on large scale projects alongside experienced UK based creatives. The company also has an indie record label imprint releasing cross genre music from India and around the globe.He is the Director of India's first ever Composers Lab which started in 2013 as part of the Mumbai Film Festival in association with Abbey Road, PRS for Music UK and supported by BMI.
