A not-for-profit social enterprise set up in 1993, we run volunteering projects in Africa and Asia. More than 5,500 people from 30+ countries have together contributed more than 1,200 man-years of service to the communities in which we work.

Founder and managing director of this company that developed from scratch a new machine for the collection of waste glass bottles from pubs, hotels etc and succeeded in bringing to market.

As a lawyer by qualification, responsible for negotiating and setting numerous aspects of the business. For example: -Set up companies and offices in Sydney, New York and Dallas and hired staff for all three offices.Negotiated a variety of management, representation and employment agreements, as well as a complex worldwide reservation system contract.Worked on a merger with a private company in Australia.Worked on the due diligence process relating to the aborted purchase of a hotel in Paris.Helped raise equity funding and took responsibility for investor relations / communications. Managed relationships with professional advisers in numerous countries.Handled trademark registrations around the world.Successfully negotiated contractual disputes and litigious situations involving customers, suppliers, staff and third parties. Investigated various new business areas.
