At Tandem, I have merged my expertise in design with my unquenchable passion for heritage and the built environment. With over 25 years’ experience in design and interpretation consultation I always aim to bring enthusiasm and clear vision to every project. I also apply the critical management experience and skill to ensure that the vision for each project is realised to its fullest potential.Our track record is evident across several projects in listed structures and national monuments including King John's Castle, SS Nomadic, Dunluce Castle, Titanic Hotel (Belfast) and St Patrick's Cathedral (Dublin). Tackling subjects not normally perceived as mainstream alongside challenging subjects are evidenced in our delivery of Seamus Heaney Homeplace, “3 Lives, 3 Deaths, 1 Life Unlived” Kilkenny Medieval Mile Museum, NMI 1916 Proclaiming a Republic and The National Famine Museum at Strokestown Park.I am an ardent believer in the value that heritage projects can bring to local communities. Beyond my professional remit, I have facilitated workshops with a number of community groups in Northern Ireland, helping them to carry their ideas through to finished exhibitions as well as delivering talks for the Irish Museum’s Association, Association of Heritage Interpretation (AHI), Belfast Design Week, University of Ulster and Queen’s University Belfast. In 2019 and 2021 I had the privilege, and hugely rewarding honour, of sitting on the AHI Discover Heritage Awards Judges Panel and look forward to continuing this role over the next two cycles.My professional goals are to maintain Tandem's position as Ireland's leading Interpretive Design company whilst opening up our Island’s shared narrative to as broad an audience as possible and to the benefit of all communities.
