Some of my key roles include- Leading development of the Gopher web crawler that pulls live rate information from a number of hotel booking sites (written in Ruby, with help from Nokogiri and Capybara for remote browsing)- Leading development of joingopher.com (written in Ruby on Rails)- Leading development of the Gopher browser extension (JS, SASS/CSS, HTML, Swift) - Refactored the entire JS codebase to remove copy/paste code and implement a module system for maintainability. I was able to slowly rewrite and release improvements over a 3 month period. The result has allowed for transparency with added analytics and error reporting through all facets of the product. The new architecture has allowed for a shared code base between all implementations (different target browsers) with a custom build process that removes platform specific code. The result: a highly dynamic browser extension that can be maintained by an extremely small team. -
