Good people, great experiences, tech driven solutions & seeing our small business clients kick goals with both feet.Working with small business owners in the Alcohol, Creative, Ecommerce & Trades industries - we give a shit where others might not.Founded in 2012, to date I have been able to welcome 4 other team members in equity, build a business that focuses on building exceptional relationships with our client community as well as cultivate a unique identity within our accounting fraternity. It's been such an exceptional experience to date - filled with the highs and lows of awards, bad jokes, international travel, shared tears with clients and more.In Feb of 2023, I took some long service/paternity leave to hang with our newborn son, returning to Illumin8 in July. Transitioning into a limited role within Illumin8, focusing soley on purpose, impact, culture, leadership development & growth. I'm now stoked to be able to support the future direction of Illumin8, whilst keeping well clear of things that I should not be getting involved in.I don't spend all that much time with clients anymore, one of two polar extremes - casually over a shared beer, or in depth during a full day strategy consolation.Do I miss what I did when Illumin8 was first born? Yeah, I sure do. But I know I'm now working to my strengths & have the power of an exceptional team alongside me.What's next? Well - that's for us all to find out I guess!

Funding health & hygiene projects and education in the developing world.Over more than 6 years we built a beautiful little business that helped to make a small mark on the planet that we live on as well as the people that share it with each other.In August of 2023 we gifted the business to Red Dust, the charitable organisation that we had been partnering with over the years. Starting as an undergraduate out of high school and progressing to the position of Senior Accountant in 2009 I was responsible for a varied number of tasks ranging from the preparation of working files, review of junior work and liasing with clients.
