Responsible for all business operations and DevOps. Built two primary applications. A custom AI agent built on the OpenAI API and a decentralized messaging interface.

Led various projects related to the Songclip API and machine learning. Migrated the team to Jira and implemented processes to document and track tasks better. Led the hiring effort by defining standards for the interview process and creating job descriptions for all engineering positions. Responsible for hiring and managing external personnel while we hire FTEs.Dockerized all services and migrated everything running on EC2 instances to an EKS cluster (~75 services, 2 EKS clusters, 4 environments). Implemented Datadog and made use of monitoring, alerting (log-based and compute-based), and logging. Created a CI/CD pipeline to bring the average build and deploy time from ~30 minutes to less than 5 minutes.

Led a team of 16 DevOps engineers to stabilize and automate infrastructure and software delivery. Migrated legacy systems from vSphere into AWS and redesigned aspects of the application to utilize native AWS services. Architected the provisioning of various services which include TFE, Hashicorp Vault, Rundeck, and self-hosted Gitlab. Led the deployment of a centralized logging system (ELK) that collected logs from 25 environments across 4 data centers and 3 AWS platforms.Transitioned team to using agile processes by increasing the use of Jira and Confluence and following the basic agile framework. Interviewed and hired staff that grew the team from 4 DevOps engineers to 16 over the course of 1 year. Managed projects that include a golden image pipeline using Packer, AWS financial governance, platform standardization, and automated the environment deployment process which brought the time to provision a new platform down from 8 months to 5 days.Kicked off the usage of Kubernetes and Terraform and started the initiative to get all infrastructure, on-premise, and AWS, managed by Terraform. Architected, constructed, and deployed the first Kubernetes cluster into the application environments. Deployed monitoring and alerting system using Prometheus and alert manager for Kubernetes clusters.

Built Voter Registration System and Poll Book applications from architecture and design to software development to leading the platform team in production deployments and support.Developed Node.js services and APIs for Voter Registration and Poll Book applications. Responsible for deployment and maintenance of all AWS resources which include EKS, SES, RDS, Elasticsearch Service as well as all aspects of VPC and EC2. Automated the environment deployment using Terraform for the application and additional supporting services.Designed and built all aspects of the Poll Book application from developing APIs and services to architecting and deploying Kubernetes and a scalable MongoDB cluster. Utilized Elasticsearch for dynamic search and logging aggregation. Developed a custom peer-to-peer sync system that scaled to over 35k connected devices and continuously synchronized events to all connected devices. Developed a tool to sync data from MongoDB to Elasticsearch and Postgres in real-time.
