Transportation and Training Consultant and Industry Rep (2014-present)Director (2003–2014)• Manage operations/profit and loss for program serving over 7,000 taxi and FHV drivers annually. Hire, train and supervise 2 full-time staff, 3 part-time staff and 5 instructors.• Designed and currently administer NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission's (TLC) "EZ License" and 80-Hour initial training program and manual. Content covers TLC rules and procedures, geography, map reading skills, and driver/passenger relations/courtesy necessary to pass NYC taxicab driver's license exam. • Observe and evaluate teachers. Teach sections of license renewal course. • Assist in refinement and implementation of all courses, including teacher scheduling.• Created a Portable Electronic Device (PED) course/curriculum to meet TLC requirements for violators of the new PED rule. Course objectives are to emphasize dangers of driving while distracted (DWD) and explain professional ramifications of violating this rule. Trained, observed and evaluated taxi instructors to implement course. (2010)• Represented the NYC “Driver Training Implementation and Administration” session for the 24th Annual Conference of the International Association of Transportation Regulators in Toronto, Canada at invitation of former TLC Chairman Matthew Daus. (2011) • Facilitated NY State Department of Motor Vehicles’ Driver Rehabilitation Program (a.k.a., Drinking Driver Program) with Queens College/CUNY. (2008-2010)• Created and currently teach “Taxi Yoga,” an exercise program that combines Tai Chi, Yoga, Nei Kung, Feldenkrais and Western Sports Medicine to address physical challenges faced by today’s professional drivers and office workers.

Assistant Director (1997–2000)• Administered 4-hour continuing education course to 40,000 currently licensed NYC taxi drivers. (1997-98) • In the following years, offered the course to all new drivers on first year anniversary of receiving their license to upgrade interpersonal skills and improve sensitivity to various disabled populations. (This course was featured in the March 4, 2002 issue of People Weekly Magazine.) • Designed and administered voluntary Safety Course to address challenges faced by taxi/FHV drivers. Successful completion of course qualified drivers for up to an additional 15% off insurance premiums. (2001-2003)• Developed 7-hour taxi-specific Point and Insurance Reduction Program with National Traffic Safety Institute and got it approved by NY State Department of Motor Vehicles. (2001)
