Substantial effort was put into making the system extendable, flexible, and well-documented.*Gremlin chaos tests are used to ensure system reliability and resilience in the presence of faulty servers, dependencies, networks, and host resources.**A service at Amazon is classified as tier 1 if degradation of that service has an immediate adverse effect on customers.
