As a felony and misdemeanor calendar attorney, I reviewed police reports and filed criminal complaints, handled calendar assignments, and prosecuted numerous cases to jury verdict. This included seven misdemeanor cases, such as DUIs, resisting arrest, restraining order violations, and domestic violence incidents. I also conducted 50 preliminary hearings in Tulare County, covering a range of cases including fugitive harboring, drug-related incidents, and domestic violence cases.

Researched forced labor in northern Thailand, leading to a cost-saving program decision. Conducted stakeholder interviews with tribal Thai people and refugees, government and law enforcement officials, and other NGOs. Worked with lawyers involved in joint prosecution of child sexual assault cases in tribal villages. Represented IJM at the early-release roundtable discussion of the 2017 United States Human Trafficking in Persons (TIP), at the United States Consulate General in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Coordinated social services providers at a homeless shelter for things like healthcare, mental health, housing, veterans affairs, elder care, and legal aid.
