The Master Training Specialist (MTS) Program is a certification program. The MTS designee has highly effective teaching skills and has a comprehensive knowledge of training management, administration, and curriculum development. The certification program has Navy-wide standardized requirements. Candidates must: complete formal instructor training; complete the instructor certification process; obtain at least two instructor evaluations or submit a videotape; meet performance evaluation requirements; complete the Job Qualification Requirements (JQR); appear before the MTS board; and be recommended by the command MTS nomination board.

The Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC) is apart of the United States Naval Special Warfare Command team that operates and maintains an inventory of small craft used to conduct special operations missions, particularly those of the U.S. Navy SEALs. Individually, SEALs and SWCC go through separate specialized training programs that emphasize special operations in the maritime environment. SWCC are trained extensively in craft and weapons tactics, techniques, and procedures. Focusing on clandestine infiltration and exfiltration of SEALs and other special operations forces, SWCC provide dedicated, rapid mobility in shallow water areas where large ships cannot operate. Their capabilities include Direct Action through coastline or rivers (such as strikes, captures, and ship takedowns by Visit, Board, Search and Seizure), Special Reconnaissance, Coastal Patrol and Interdiction of suspect ships and surface craft. SWCC specialize in swift mobility, due to this they also have a high level of training in tactical driving and convoy operations. They do many missions alongside SEALs providing security detail and evacuation. SWCC must be physically fit, highly motivated, combat-focused, and responsive in high-stress situations.

Information Systems Technicians design, install, operate, and maintain state-of-the-art information systems. This technology includes local and wide area networks, mainframe, mini and microcomputer systems and associated peripheral devices. They also write programs to handle the collection, manipulation, and distribution of data for a wide variety of applications and requirements. They perform the functions of a computer system analyst, operate telecommunications systems including automated networks and the full spectrum of data links and circuits.Significant accomplishments:• Spearheaded the design and implementation of a computer navigation upgrade to Special Operations Craft saving the Navy over $500K• Maintained reliable and secure operations of over 350 Defense Information Systems Agency and Navy Tactical circuits for the entire U.S. Navy 7th fleet
