I have been within Protiviti's Internal Audit & Financial Advisory practice for 10 years and have been in the UK office since 2016. Throughout my career, I have serviced clients across a variety of different industries, including manufacturing and distribution, energy, professional services, financial services, technology, retail and consumer goods, and healthcare. I have executed, lead, and PMO'd numerous projects in the areas of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, UK Corporate reform readiness, internal control rationalisations, and multiple outsourced and co-sourced internal audit arrangements and reviews. I am passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and am the co-chair of the Protiviti UK’s LGBT+ Network, proPRIDE, and on the Protiviti proPRIDE Global Leadership Council.Major Project Experience:•Internal Controls Advisory: Co-Lead of our UK Controls Advisory Solution and UK SOX Champion. Managed multiple clients with current state assessments of control frameworks, including control design and operating effectiveness evaluation for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), UK corporate reform controls readiness and business controls engagements in multiple industries. Documented business processes and IT application controls and identified design gaps or operating issues, root causes and risk to the organisation. Provided recommendations for opportunities to improve, automate or simplify and in many cases assisted in designing remediation plans. Experience within all key business process areas.•Internal Audits: Provided a variety of services focused on internal audit processes, including risk assessments, audit plan strategic development, and audit plan execution, including planning, fieldwork and reporting of specific audits. Designed COSO Mapping, managed an SOD review, and assisted in the implementation of Internal Audit policies and procedures within organisations. Seconded into a Director role with a multinational consumer products company for six months, where I coordinated, scoped and led multiple simultaneous audits.•Engagement Management: Managed multiple global PMO roles for a variety of projects in multiple industries.
