I am passionate about postsecondary education and the possibilities it provides to learners. I am a strong advocate and value the many potential outcomes postsecondary education can provide to learners and users in and outside of the classroom. Over the last two decades I have gained experience in many areas across a postsecondary institution with professional experiences in many student support areas, such as academic advising, course planning & scheduling, student records management, faculty support services, curriculum and academic standards governance and coordination, undergraduate and graduate admissions. This experience has given me a strong technical background in technology, student information systems, project management, Human Resources and business processes which allows me to support improvements for learners/users. Over the last number of years, I have developed a focus in student mobility services to support student affairs and the strategic goals of my organizations.My experience as a manager of people over the last decade has allowed me to focus on my employees, to get the best out of them and support their person goals within the organization and beyond. My management style provides an open space for collaboration while working within the wider strategic organizational plans. Put simply, I enjoy using my background to improve administrative processes, support staff, and create opportunities for positive change in individuals and student support services.
