Support and delivery of Strategic Project Portfolios for TWI and its Key Clients - currently engaged on Rolls-Royce SMR Program

Operation and management of TWI’s Industrial Member Services Group in line with corporate strategy. Developing and implementing plans to provide sustained growth in TWI’s flagship product of industrial membership, through:- Broad engagement with all member companies so that they are kept fully aware of the range and scope of services available from TWI.

Management and development of the arc welding section, which provides cross-sector support of TWI members in both research & development and welding engineering. This includes support and development of a team of welding engineers, to deliver projects to customers in oil & gas, power, construction & engineering and additional sectors.

I returned to TWI to take a position in the Laser and Sheet Processes section; which involved the delivery of research and consultancy projects for a range of TWI member companies. Following on from my recent experience in the automotive industry, I formed an Automotive Welding Engineer forum that supports UK automotive welding engineers. My role also.

My primary responsibility was to deliver complete weld quality on new vehicles produced at JLR manufacturing facilities. This involved development and buy-off of procedures for fusion (spot and arc) welding and riveting processes across all pre-production stages. These included inital prototype, followed by production line installation build phases.

Proposal and management of research and consultancy projects within the arc welding section at TWI. This included development of welding procedures across a range of arc welding processes and applications; including MMA/MAG welding of linepipe for oil and gas sectors, TIG welding of nickel alloys for aerospace and micro-plasma welding for titanium medical.
