Design Graphics was the largest selling digital / desktop publishing magazine in the world at the companies peak in mid 90's. Working with my father, who created the magazine and ran a strong publishing house from the Dandenong Ranges. This role throughout my earlier years gave me the opportunity to meet some of the worlds top photoshop operators, computer programmers, creative minds, typographers, visionaries, and of course designers. Working with my father, who created the magazine and ran a strong publishing house from the Dandenong Ranges. This role throughout my earlier years gave me the opportunity to meet some of the worlds top photoshop operators, computer programmers, creative minds, typographers, visionaries, and of course designers. The magazine published monthly journals providing a snapshot 'as of now' in the early desktop publishing era. It paved the way for many magazines and digital content streams that were yet to come. The fast paced production line and never ending technological advancements offered invaluable experience and insight into the future of our industry and my professional development. The magazine not only reported the digital news but made large contributions towards the establishment of what was once known as the desktop publishing industry. Over time we would recognise this as branding, digital design and communications. The magazine set the benchmark for what was possible. Sadly the magazine is no longer in production. It was well respected and admired by industry and peers and was the foundation of my professional career. I will never be able to thank you enough for such an eye opening adventure that we lived everyday.
